Normally, I Would Be Opposed, But In This Case...

So, normally I don't care for people doing covers of other people's songs, but for these two, Emily Luther and Charlie Puth, I'll make an exception; they do a beautiful cover of Adele's Someone Like You.  Take a look:

Another video I have recently fallen in love with was done by a Mr. Nick Pitera.  His voice range is absolutely crazy!!  Check it out:  (P.S. Pay attention to what he's doing in the different windows in reaction to the window that's singing, especially the villain.  It's really funny.)

This video makes me laugh, every time.  Gotta love it.  Anyway, I just thought I'd share these crazily talented kids with you all.  Goodnight.

P.S.  Tomorrow, I will post pictures of my Halloween costume for you guys.  All I can tell you is that this is the first year in a long time that I haven't been a vampire haha.  Night!

The Invisible

Yes, The Invisible is a movie, but right now, that's not what I'm talking about. (Although, that movie is amazing).  No, I'm talking about actually feeling you're invisible.  For awhile, it was the wallflower, just part of the wallpaper; now, there is no wallpaper.  I'm just downright invisible, and I am sick of it.
She had told me that she was sorry I felt left out, and that she would rather talk to me about more serious stuff because I take here more seriously than the other two.  And that made me feel better.
Until yesterday, when she read aloud her autobiography.
"[Those two] are my best friends.  I don't know what I would do without them..."
I literally jerked back like I had been slapped.  That's sure what it felt like.  I mean, yeah, maybe I'm taking it a bit too hard, but dang, that's a pretty callous thing to do, especially after she had told me I was a good friend, and the only one who took her seriously.  Yet, she still fails to mention that I was her friend, too...
And what about Kayla?  It's always been the five of us; since when did Kayla and I become the ghosts of the party, the kind that everyone knows that something's there, but they just don't bother looking.

After class yesterday, we had lunch.  And after lunch, I went to the restroom.  As soon as I had shut the door behind me, I was sliding down the wall, bawling like a baby.  I felt stupid, even stupider when I walked into English and nobody noticed my eyes were red-rimmed and still wet from crying.  Of course they wouldn't notice, I thought, you're a ghost, remember?
Today, I knew things would be the same; they were.  Every time I'd try and talk to one of them, they'd all just look at me like I was stupid, or they'd just act like I hadn't spoken at all.  So, if I was telling a story, after realizing they weren't listening, I'd just slowly die out, and act as if I hadn't spoken at all, either.
After lunch today, Tanner asked if I wanted to drop by his house and get a Powerade or something.  We ended up parked in the driveway with me sobbing and bawling like somebody had died.  I guess somebody did die.  Me.

My sister told me to just say screw them.  My dad told me to move on.  Tanner told me it would all be okay.  The first two said to give them space, and all three said I didn't deserve to be treated like that.

You ever get punched in the face?  Well, imagine that, times three, several times a day, and each one is delivered by your best friends.

I sat crying in the cafeteria after school today.  When Kayla walked by, I willed her to turn around, to come ask what was wrong, so I could talk to her like I used to.  But she just kept walking, not even noticing me.  And when I watched her walk out the door, not looking back, I thought, "Great, I'm invisible to her, now, too."  And then I think that I probably couldn't talk to her anyway; I've tried several times this year, and I either get the same look I get from the other three (the "you're-dumb-stop-talking look), or she just starts talking about something totally off-subject, that usually has to do with her.  So, I just shut-up and let her talk, adding in an "Uh huh," or an "Oh, that's awesome," whenever appropriate.

I'm trying to stay upbeat, here, I really am.  But, after going through this once already, with Zach, I don't want to go through it four more times.  Except, there's nothing I can do but follow my family's advice: give 'em space.  At least there's one friend I know that is never going to leave me, or forget about me, or give me that look that says nobody wants to listen; and He knows what all my troubles are, so I don't have to feel stupid trying to tell Him about them, and hoping He won't think I'm acting like a child.  He's never going to pretend I'm invisible, and I'm so grateful for that..

Night, guys...

Demons and Other (Real) Creepies

So, Thursday night - it was a very windy night, and had an eerie edge to it - Tanner was driving back from my house, after dropping me off.  The next words are his own:
"I came over the top of a hill, and on the other side something really big and dark looking kind of appeared in the middle of the road, like ten feet ahead of me.. And I figured it was a deer, but it looked sort of hunched over.. Anyways, I knew I was gonna hit whatever it was.  So I just held on tight and tensed up, but I just went right through!!  It was like nothing was there, but I saw it!  I felt like the blood just drained out of me after that... I don't really know how to describe the feeling I got.."
Now, this was all through text, and I read it on the verge of falling asleep.  Well, I can tell you I was wide awake after I read that first part.  Tanner thought maybe it was just a dust devil or something, but dust devils don't chill your blood.  I knew from experience what would chill a person's blood like that: a demon.  Yeah, go ahead; you can laugh and scoff all you like, but demons are no joke.  They exist, and I've come into contact with them more than once before.  Now, you may be thinking "Oh, if I ever came across one, I could totally handle it, and I wouldn't be scared a bit."  Well, I can tell you good luck with that, but no matter how much courage you have, just a demon's presence alone would be enough to paralyze you with fear, and maybe even cause you to cry like a little girl.  Would you like to hear a few instances I've encountered demons and other creepies?  If you don't, then stop reading, because this crap is real.

Instance # 1:
Several years ago, when my grandpa still owned his horse barn, my dad and I were staying in one of the trailer houses there, that weekend.  We were helping out with chores, and it was a waste of gas to go back home, only to come back the next morning to do chores again.  So, we stayed the night.  There was a back room with a bed, and that is where I slept, while my dad slept on the couch in the living room.  Now, the door to the back room, once it's shut, is really hard to get open again without making a lot of noise, and kicking it a couple of times (it swung inward).  Well, it was the middle of the night, and there was just a tiny bit of light seeping through the cracked door in the bathroom.  Suddenly, I went from sleeping peacefully to awake and terrified.  The room got cold, and I began to sweat in fear.  I could see in the dim light that the door to my room was slowly opening, not making a sound.  My dad had shut it tight after he had said goodnight to me, but I hadn't heard it open.  Just then, something big and dark moved through the door and began coming towards my bed.  For a split second I had hope it was the Newfoundland dog, Pike, but then I realized that this thing had no legs, and no head.  It was just a mass of darkness.
Shaking like a leaf, I yanked my covers over my head and frantically began to pray "God, please make it go away, God please make it go away," over and over again.  A few seconds later, the temperature began to warm again, so I slowly brought the blankets away from my face.  The thing was gone.  But my door was still open.

Instance # 2 (This occurred over several different days)
Day 1:  I was babysitting for a lady in town, and I had all three kids to watch.  Since their parents liked me, they said I could invite a few friends over once the kids went to sleep, because the house can get a little eerie alone.  Needless to say, I took them up on that.  Well, it was around midnight, and my friend said he had to get home, so I walked him to his car across the street.  Suddenly, one of the kids began to scream inside the house, bloody murder.  I ran as fast as I could back to the house, and found the middle child sitting up in bed, her knees curled into her chest.  She was crying hysterically, saying that something wet and cold had been moving around the bottom of her bed and trying to grab her ankles.  Quickly, I flipped the blanket up at the very foot of her bed and felt the sheets.  It was damp, and cool.  Alarmed, I quickly put the blanket back down and instead focused on the little girl.  She went on to tell me that she and older brother sometimes  heard footsteps that sounded like they were in the walls, and laughter.  Other times doors would slam shut without warning.  This, I was aware of, for it had happened to me once while I was making lunch for the youngest child, for he was the only one I was babysitting at the time.
Anyway, the little girl and I prayed, asking God to keep her and her two brothers safe, and to not let any more things scare them.  Luckily, God answered, and he kept the demons from coming back that night.  However, it was not the last night that I encountered them.
Day 2:  It was another late night, so, after I had put the kids to sleep, I had a few friends come over.  We sat and talked in the kitchen, and somehow, we got on the subject of the paranormal.  My friend Matt is very interested in this type of stuff, while the other two thought we were just making stuff up.  That's we encountered the little girl.  We never saw her, but Matt and I could feel her.  Just by feeling, we were able to describe her.  She seemed about three or four years old, with long dark hair, wearing a little sundress with daisies on it.  We could somehow sense that she was barefoot, and her knees were dirty as if she had been playing in the dirt.  She didn't feel evil, but when people die, their souls either go to Heaven or Hell; they don't do any of this staying behind business.  But still, I couldn't help but think she was just a simple little spirit, and she seemed to like me, because she held my hand a lot, and even sat in my lap.  Then, I remembered about the demon downstairs.  I decided to show Matt.  Now, the little girl was too terrified to go down the stairs, it seemed, so she waited at the top with my other two friends while Matt and I went downstairs.  Almost immediately, I started feeling a resistance.  It felt like I was trying to walk through thick blankets.  When we got the bottom, where the youngest child's room was, it was almost unbearable.  His room was right next to the boiler room, and when I tried to follow Matt inside, I was literally stopped by an invisible wall.  I couldn't breath and I had to back away, but Matt passed through.  Almost immediately, he came back out, saying it felt so evil in there, it was hard to breath.  I was worried about the youngest boy, so I opened his door and Matt and I stepped inside.  To my relief, the evil feeling lessened when we were in the youngest's room, which meant that whatever sort of demon it was, it couldn't get inside the room.  So, instead, it just hung around the doorway on the outside.  We went back upstairs, and almost immediately, the little girl wrapped her fingers around my hand.  It didn't feel like fingers; it felt like cool air had encircled the tips of my fingers.
Matt and I could tell that this little girl was scared of whatever was downstairs, and she tried to follow us when we left, even going as far as to actually get into the car with us.  But I told her she had to protect the kids, and this seemed to change her mind.  I still don't know what she was, if she was a demon, or what, but it just goes to show that you can easily be fooled by the Devil.

There is one more instance, and it is by far, the biggest and scariest encounter I've ever had.  But I will have to write that later, because I have to work tomorrow, and I need to go to bed.  Plus, I'm not feeling very good at the moment.  I just hope I'm not sick again.
I'll re-post this later, so you guys know it has been updated.

P.S. I labeled this Dreams and Nightmares because, in a sense, facing demons is a nightmare... Say your prayers tonight, because just thinking about demons can open doors for them, doors you really don't want opened.  Night everyone.  I pray God keeps you safe.

Thanks a lot, everyone, for taking time to read my rambling messes!  Keep reading; there's bound to be more!

Homecoming Week

So, last week, our school had Homecoming week.  Here are the pictures from each dress-up day:

Monday: Creeper Day (Don't you see the family resemblance?)

Tuesday: Twin Day (The only one I could find.  I was actually a triplet; our third counterpart is missing from this photo)

Wednesday: Zombie Day (I was a zombie hunter)

Thursday: Barbie/Princess Day (I was Teacher Barbie.  I'm pointing at a tag, btw, not just my boob; the tag says Miss Barbie)

Friday: Purple and White Day (School colors)

My last Homecoming; I had to make it big, so I dressed up for every single day.  But, I have to say, Zombie Day was my favourite.  I had just watched the movie Zombieland two nights before, so my friends and I were running around yelling "Double Tap!" and "Limber Up!" and "Check the Back Seat!" the whole day.  But mostly, we just yelled "Double Tap!"
Twin Day, we had college fair day, so a bunch of us were running around the fair in matching outfits; I think we made the college reps nervous.  Ha.
On the Barbie/Princess Day, we had to take our Senior class pictures, so a bunch of us had to change; luckily, all I had to do was slip on a pair of jeans beneath my shirt/dress thingy, throw on my Converse, and I was good.  Others were not so lucky:

Yes, that is my boyfriend, Tanner.  That is my swimsuit top he is wearing; he wanted to be Malibu Barbie.  He's not gay, I swear.

Saturday, we had the Homecoming dance.  Here's a picture from that:

Yeah, I Picniked it.  From left to right it goes Kayla, Meriam, me, Tanner (making a strange face; I have no clue what he's doing), and the Homecoming Queen, Sara.

So, yeah.  That was most of the events that occurred last week.  Hope you enjoyed being thoroughly freaked out.

P.S. It took nearly forty-five minutes to get the snarls out of my hair on Monday night.  My poor hair is now suffering severely of split ends.

And the Wallflower Returns...

Here we go, again; first, the other day, I had a dentist's appointment, and I figured my friend would wait for me to get out, then I could go over to her house, and we could watch anime like we always do, and then head to One Act practice.  But when I called her to see if she was still in town, she said, "No, sorry, I had to go home."
I can understand if you had to, but. . .couldn't you have texted me, first?  You know, let me know, so I wouldn't be left hanging?  I would have waited all night for you if you had asked, and if I couldn't, I would have at least texted you to let you know I couldn't stay and wait.

Then, there's the other three.  The first time we actually hung out this year, we went to McDonald's.  Second time, just this last Friday, they threw me a belated birthday party, and got me a sword as a present, and I had a blast.  But. . . other than that, they don't really talk to me.  They all sit together, and they all laugh about inside jokes that I have no clue about.  When I try and talk to them, figure out what they're saying, either, they don't hear me, or they just give me this look, along with one to a few word responses, such as, "Never mind, you had to be there," or "Nothing, just forget about it."  Sure, they still talk small talk with me, sometimes, but other than that. . . I'm slipping back into the wallpaper:
     1. I let myself get talked over, when really, being talked over is a huge pet peeve of mine.  I do it because, even if I talk louder, and happen to get their attention, they just look at me like I'm being a b**** and need to knock it off.  So, I just let it happen.
     2. When nobody notices I'm there, I just leave, because it's not like they'd miss me anyway.
     3. When I stubbornly stand there until they know I'm there, all I get is annoyed looks, like, "You need to leave, and stop doing that."  And then, I feel like a major dumb***; so, mostly, I just follow the previous number.

Today, I went in to do a book report, after school.  Tanner had a lot of homework to do, so he went home.  And since it was a Monday, that meant One Act practice, and, so I thought, the starting up of trips to my friend's house, again.  However, she left me, yet again.  Didn't try to text me to see where I was, she just left.  Not knowing where to go, I texted one of the three to see if I could go over to her house, since, I obviously couldn't stay in the school until One Act.  However, it wasn't until an hour later, after my father had come and picked me up, and taken me home, did she answer.  At that point, I really didn't want to see anyone.  And it worked out to where I didn't have to, because one of our horses had broken through the fence, and my dad needed me to go find the break.  I couldn't find the break, however, but one section of the wire was completely loose, so, my dad and I assumed that the mare had crawled beneath the fence by lifting up the loose wire with her head and simply walking under it.
I probably still could have made it to One Act (not on time, of course), but another mare, I noticed, would hardly eat her grain.  Then, she laid down.  Not to roll, but because her tummy ached.  She was colicking.  So, after making her get up, only to have her lie down, again, I slipped a halter on her and continually walked her around in circles until she went to the bathroom.  Poor thing was miserable until then, but my dad told me, that if I hadn't have stayed home and found her, she probably would have died.

While I was out checking fence, I rode my horse, listened to my iPod, and cried like a baby.  the rest of our herd, bless their hearts, always know when I'm upset, and later, as I was still crying, surrounded me in a huddle, and literally, took turns licking me, nudging my head and face, rubbing their faces against my stomach and chest, etc.

However, for all the comfort they provided, it was nothing compared to what God reminded me: that He would always be there for me, and he would never ignore me, or pretend I wasn't there.  He is my ultimate best friend, and He will never fade away.

I'm still finding it hard to deal with the fact that I'm returning to my wallflower state, this year, but there's not much I can do about it, I guess, except let God handle it.
